This class has been one of my favorite classes I've taken during my college career.
I feel like this class should be 6 credits. I had to watch a month's worth of lectures for one of my classes in one day yesterday, simply because 490 has been consuming all of my time. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the process and I'm proud of my team, I just think we should get more credit for it to make up for the copious amount of time that goes into these projects.
love profs!
Loved the course, instructors are really kind. 2 quick issues, one being that this class had no inputted grades before the P/F deadline. Second, students often times were given extremely last minute notice as to assignments/class expectations (usually within the day or like 2 hours before class). Better communication is definitely needed on that end, it’s really stressful/inconvenient for students not to know what they’re doing.
Love you guys!
Great course, really loved my time in QUEST and looking forward to being involved in other ways!

Special Questions for Spring 2020 Related to Online Instruction
What actions or strategies used in this course helped you learn in the online environment?
Comments
---
Weekly zoom meetings with breakout room check–ins with professors
working with the clients when they've also become remote was interesting
Meeting with my team almost every day, especially towards the end of the project, through Zoom
liked when we were given a announcement about what we would be doing in class before it began liked that we could text bailey for quick feedback
Weekly zoom meetings to hear advice from instructors
I like that we met live every week. It was nice to see everyone in the same space, and it kept me motivated.
Setting weekly meetings beforehand
What could be improved if this course was taught online again?
Comments
---
I think they did a great job, I have no improvements
Maybe keep students a bit more informed on scheduling and what we're going to the doing in class.
When we had classes in person, the 5–8pm class time was inconvenient, but manageable. Once quarantine hit, it was ridiculous. Everyone's living circumstances have changed, and our time isn't our own anymore. Family might expect you to help out around the house, or have family dinner during this time. Also, just sitting on Zoom for 3 hours is exhausting. At least when we met in person, the teams could take breaks and get chicken tenders from Rudy's.
I thought the transition went well
sometimes instructions weren't clear or given far enough in advance. if you have restrictions for the assignment, these should go in thee assignment blurb on elms so that if groups start work earlier, they dont have to go back and fix things
Even with the move to online, Professors didn't give much leeway and weren't timely in communicating changes in assignments. After the two week break, students asked if we would have an assignment as scheduled on syllabus, professors said they were unsure, no follow up until the day before class when they expected the assignment.
I think you did the best job possible
I think the 490H experience just translates poorly online, especially when cut short halfway. If the course was fully online, I'd recommend projects that have significant data components that can be worked on offline, and changing up the meeting styles weekly (sometimes uploading video presentations, sometimes Zoom, sometimes discussion boards).
better communication to students on what is expected for assignments and deliverables. this was a sentiment expressed by majority of cohort.
