QUEST Project Management Tool

Project Scope
QUEST (Quality Enhancement Systems and Teams) is an undergraduate honors program at the University of Maryland focused on developing the interdisciplinary teamwork skills of its students with an emphasis on quality. QUEST develops these skills by giving students real world clients and projects to work on. However, the number of students in the QUEST program has recently increased tremendously. Thus, it must attract more clients for potential student projects. To help QUEST market the ability to develop projects that solve real world solutions to potential clients, we created the QUEST Project Management Page. It consolidates all QUEST projects into a scalable database in the form of a website that can be searched efficiently by both QUEST administrators and clients alike. Upon finding relevant and interesting projects, both QUEST administrators and clients can share these results with each other to develop discussion over new project ideas for QUEST students.

Contributions
The team has created a tool for QUEST to manage, upload and view past BMGT490H projects, which companies can browse through and contact QUEST if they would like to get involved. Moving forward, we recommend that QUEST maintain unique data of projects while also integrating other data sources, such as other student information. We also recommend that QUEST members and company representatives interested in the data presented by our tool utilize the sharing functionality we have implemented. The feature allows for simple sharing of a single projects or of a group of projects with one button click. In order to maintain our tool, we recommend that QUEST implements user accounts in future iterations so that features such as favorited projects can be implemented.
