DOCKET
Docket offers a range of features that enhance the experience for professors, teaching assistants, and students. With a simple and flexible design, the platform is easy to use and navigate.
Our office hours solution improves on older products by providing support for hybrid office hours. Professors and TAs can help students online and in-person using the same unified queue. We also support online and in-person styles. Another new feature is the ability to batch-admit students with similar issues, increasing the efficiency of your office hours.
Docket gives professors more control over their courses. The professor can add their whole roster of students and TAs to Docket with a CSV upload at the beginning of the semester. If they need to add or remove individual students, they can do that too through the edit-course button. Teaching assistants are limited to just adding students.
Docket offers students more control over their interactions during office hours. They can now request private meetings with professors or TAs directly through in the queue section, making it easier to seek additional help or discuss sensitive matters.
Students can toggle an "away from keyboard" (AFK) button to indicate when they are temporarily unavailable, helping professors and TAs manage their time more effectively.
Additionally, students/professors/teaching assistants benefit from a meeting history feature that enables them to review past interactions with detailed notes. This feature is particularly useful for referencing previous discussions or tracking progress over time. TAs and students also share a dashboard, so TAs in one class can be students in others.
The analytics tool provides valuable data to help professors better understand what's going on in office hours. They can track student engagement, and attendance rates, allowing them to optimize their office hour schedules and content. If the built-in statistics are not enough, professors have the ability to download meeting, student, and TA data in CSV format to perform their own analysis.
Overall, the website is designed to facilitate meaningful and productive interactions during office hours. By providing a range of features that cater to the needs of both students and professors, the platform aims to enhance communication and collaboration within office hours.
Office hours shouldn't be so chaotic and be a challenge to manage; it's meant to give students a personalized learning experence. Docket makes that vision a reality by empowering professors with tools to inspire and guide their students towards academic success.
